Welcome to Ye Olde Danish Inn’s Website. Ye Olde Danish Inn is a quality alternative to vacation rentals. Ye Olde Danish Inn has become a national and international beacon for adventurous travelers to relax in privacy and complete comfort.
On the 10 acres private estate overlooking the Victorian Village of Ferndale (www.victorianferndale.com), the Inn offers seclusion and plenty of room to breathe, while within proximity to the wonderful recreational opportunities for which the Redwood Coast is famous: redwood forests (nature’s cathedrals), secluded beaches, pristine nature preserves and a lot of wildlife. As an added bonus a quality casino (www.bearrivercasino.com) is only a 5 minute drive from us, for those who enjoy a bit of gambling.
We are located only a 4 to 5 hour scenic drive ( highway 101 ) north of San Francisco, Ca. and about 3 miles in from the Pacific ocean.
We offer two very comfortable and very private suites, each with its own private balcony, overlooking beautiful views of the Victorian Village of Ferndale and the Eel River Valley. Many of our guests are using Ye Olde Danish Inn as a Health or Spiritual Retreat, due to the beauty and serenity of the Inn’s nature.
The two suites have comfortable, cozy furnishings, some being of Danish design, reflecting the owners taste, both being immigrants and who are fluent in Japanese, Danish and a variety of Scandinavian languages.
The suites offers wood burning stoves; satellite TV; central heating and a comfortable bathrooms with stall showers. And, should you need a little entertainment, a film library is available to our guests. We also offer an entertainment room, (by special arrangement, and a nominal fee), which features a regulation size pool table, vintage jukeboxes loaded with plenty of vintage rock’n’roll music. A library with a bunch of great books that can be viewed and read, while comfortably seated in our entertainment center.
To truly enjoy the magnificent views, we have strategically placed a couple of comfortable benches, where our guests can sit and enjoy the spectacular panorama. The two sites offer different views of Ferndale and the Valley.
Downtown Ferndale is only two blocks (and a world) away, or just a couple of minutes walk.
